The Effect of Total Quality Management on Business Performance in SMEs: Case of Gaziantep
Recently, companies make strategic plans and decisions in the face of globalization, rapid technological development, emerging markets, the change that occurs as a result of the changes in the wishes and needs of individuals and constantly increasing competition environment. These decisions are thought to contribute to the development and renewal of organizations. Therefore, the studies to be conducted in this field have gained momentum. It is evident that innovation and quality as a major source of organizational structures. Organizational science focuses on strategies and innovation efforts in the organization. Therefore, the effect of total quality management on business performance has been selected as a research topic. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of Total Quality Management on determining Business Performance. In this context, field research was conducted on managers and employees working in SMEs in Gaziantep. The data collected as a result of field research were analyzed in SPSS program. As a result of the study, it was determined that TQM has positive effects on business performance.

KOBİ’lerde Toplam Kalite Yönetiminin İşletme Performansına Etkisi: Gaziantep İli Örneği
Son zamanlarda işletmeler, küreselleşme, hızlı teknolojik gelişim, yeni oluşan pazarlar, bireylerin istek ve ihtiyaçlarının değişmesi sonucunda ortaya çıkan değişim ve devamlı olarak artan rekabet ortamı karşısında stratejik planlar yaparak, kararlar almaktadır. Bu kararların örgütlerin geliştirilmesi ve yenilenmesine katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir. Dolayısıyla, bu alanda yapılacak çalışmalar ivme kazanmıştır. Örgüt yapılarının içinde majör kaynak olarak yenilik ve kalite faktörünün bulunduğu aşikârdır. Örgütsel bilim alanları örgütteki stratejiler ve yenilik çabaları üzerine yoğunlaşmaktadır. Bu nedenle, toplam kalite yönetiminin işletme performansına etkisi araştırma konusu olarak seçilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, Toplam Kalite Yönetiminin İşletme Performansını belirlemeye yönelik etkisini tespit etmektir. Bu kapsamda, Gaziantep ilinde KOBİ’lerde çalışan yöneticiler ve çalışanlar üzerinde alan araştırması yapılmıştır. Alan araştırması sonucunda toplanan veriler, SPSS programında analiz edilmiştir. Çalışmanın sonucunda, TKY’ nin iş performansına olumlu etkileri bulunduğu sonucu tespit edilmiştir.
