Yeni Teknolojilerin Türk Bankacılık Sektörüne Ekonomik Etkileri

Yeni teknolojiler, diğer sektörlerde olduğu gibi bankacılık sektöründe de değişikliklere yol açmıştır. Bu çalışmada, yeni teknolojilerin 2002-2013 döneminde Türk bankacılık sektörüne ekonomik etkilerini yansıtmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu çerçevede, Türk bankacılık sektöründe yeni teknolojilerin ortaya çıkardığı etkiler, verimlilik, karlılık, istihdam yapısı ve rekabet yapısı yönlerinden ele alınmıştır. Çalışmada, yeni teknolojilerin, Türk bankacılık sektörünün verimliliğini arttırdığı ve sektörün rekabetçi yapısını kuvvetlendirdiği sonucuna varılmıştır. Ayrıca sektörün karlılık oranlarında genel olarak azalma gözlemlenmesine rağmen, teknoloji temelli ürün ve hizmetlerin karlılık yapısına pozitif etkileri gözlemlenmiştir. Türk bankacılık sektöründe yeni teknolojilerin yaygınlaşması, eğitim seviyesi yüksek personelin istihdamını arttırmıştır.

The Economic Effects of New Technologies on the Turkish Banking Sector

New technologies, as well as in other sectors has led to changes in the banking sector. In this study, it is intended to reflect the economic effects of new technologies on the Turkish banking sector during the period 2002-2013. In this context, the effects of new technologies on the Turkish banking sector are discussed as the aspects: productivity, profitability, employment structure and the competitive structure. As a result, it was obtained that, new technologies, increased the efficiency of the Turkish banking sector and strengthened the competitive structure of the industry. In addition, although a decline observed in the industry's profitability ratios, technology-based products and services have a positive impact on the structure of profitability. Dissemination of new technologies in the Turkish banking sector increased education levels of the employment.
