Türkiye Acısından Meslek Yüksekokullarının Önemi ve Öğrenci Tutumlarının Değerlendirilmesi

Gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerin sanayi ve hizmet sektörlerindeki en önemli sorunlarından birisi “nitelikli ara eleman” eksikliğidir. Sanayi ve hizmet sektöründeki verim ve kalite “nitelikli ara elemanının” istihdamı ile artmaktadır. Bilindiği gibi ülkemizde sanayi ve hizmet sektörüne istenilen kalitede ara elemanlarını “Meslek Yüksekokulları” yetiştirmektedir. Çalışmamız, Avrupa Birliğiyle tam uyumlu bir yükseköğrenim süreci yaratmak amacıyla oluşturulmuş olan “Bologna Süreci” kapsamında mesleki yeterliliklerin standartlaştırması sürecinde “Meslek Yüksekokullarında” okuyan öğrencilerin aldıkları eğitimden ve sektörden beklentilerinin doğru ve eksiksiz bir şekilde belirlemesi ve kaliteli bir eğitiminin geleceği açısından büyük önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, meslek yüksekokullarının sektördeki yeri ve öneminin tartışılması ve Beykoz Üniversitesi Beykoz Lojistik Meslek Yüksekokulu ile Selçuk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokullarında eğitim alan öğrencilerin eğitime, işe ve sektöre yönelik tutumlarının belirlenmesi, karşılaştırılması ve sektör açısından bir aracılık modeli ile değerlendirilmesidir. Bu amaçla, çalışmanın ana kütlesini Beykoz Üniversitesi Beykoz Lojistik Meslek Yüksekokulunda ve Selçuk Üniversitesi Sosyal Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulunda eğitim alan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri toplama yöntemi olarak “anket” tekniği kullanılmış olup elde edilen veriler betimsel istatistik ve yapısal eşitlik modellemesiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda her iki meslek yüksekokulunda eğitim alan öğrencilerin eğitime, işe ve sektöre yönelik tutumları belirlenerek, karşılaştırılarak ve sektör açısından değerlendirilerek bir aracılık modeli ortaya konmuştur.

The Importance of Vocational Schools in Turkey and Evaluation of Students Attitudes

One of the most important issues in the sectors of industry and service in the developing and developed countries is the lack of qualified intermediate staff. Efficiency and quality in the sectors of industry and service increase with the employment of “qualified intermediate staff”. As known, in our country “Vocational Schools” educate the intermediate staff with the required qualifications. Our study can be deemed significant to determine the expectations of the students who study in “Vocational Schools” from their education from these schools and the sector in the period of “Bologna Process” which has been established to create a higher education process fully compatible with European Union, and the future of a high quality education. The purpose of this study is to discuss the place and importance of vocational schools for the sector and to determine whether attitudes of the students of Beykoz University, Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics and Selcuk University, Vocational School of Social Sciences towards their respective fields of employment have an intermediary affect on their attitudes towards their education. With this purpose, An application has been applied to 550 students who study in Beykoz University which is a foundation university, Beykoz Vocational School of Logistics, and Selcuk University, which is a state university, Vocational School of Social Sciences. On the survey prepared to gather research data 45 statements involving their attitudes towards the job, sector, and their education. Within the purpose of this study, this intermediary affect has been researched using constructional equality model.As a result of analysis, it has been found out that their attitudes towards their education have a positive effect on their attitudes towards the fields of employment and the sector but their attitudes towards their education have no intermediary effect. It has also been found that the result has not changed whether the students are educated in a state or a foundation university.
