Grafik Tasarım Programlarında Geometrik Okuryazarlık

Bu araştırmanın amacı; sanatsal yaratıcılığa, grafik tasarımın görsel diline yönelik eğitim gören meslek yüksekokullarındaki grafik tasarım programı birinci sınıf ve ikinci sınıf öğrencilerinin bir sanat eserinde geometrik okuryazarlığının düzeyi karşılaştırılmaktır. Araştırmanın örneklemi; Uludağ Üniversitesi Teknik Bilimler Meslek Yüksekokulu, Grafik Tasarım Programı’nda eğitim görmekte olan örgün ve ikinci öğretimde, birinci eğitim gören 20 ve ikinci sınıfta 22 grafik tasarım öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın veri toplama aracı ise demogratif ve beşli likert tipinde bilgilerden oluşan anket formudur. Bu form seçilen bir sanat eserinde hangi geometrik şekillerin kullanıldığının farkındalığını ve bu geometrik kavramlar hakkındaki bilgilerin düzeyini ölçmeye yarayan sorulardan oluşmaktadır. Grafik Tasarım eğitimlerinde birinci ve ikinci sınıfa göre elde ettikleri geometrik okuryazarlık bu anket uygulanarak ölçülmüştür. Ölçümde elde edilen geometrik okuryazarlık puanları SPSS istatistik programı yardımıyla tanımlayıcı istatistikleri çıkarılarak, normal dağılım göstermeyen Mann-Whitney U testi yöntemi uygulanarak veriler değerlendirilmiştir. Bu değerlendirme sonucunda; iki ve üç boyutlu yapıları birbirinden ayırabilme için yeterli geometrik bilgi düzeyi birinci sınıf öğrenciler ile ikinci sınıf öğrenciler arasında bir fark olmadığı görülmüştür.

The subject matter is to compare geometric literacy for studying graphic design programs in vocational schools in class and second class students who are visual language training for artistic creativity. The sample study includes 20 first grade students and 22 second grade s students who are of the Graphic Design Program of Uludag University Vocational High School of Technical Sciences. The research data collection tool is a questionnaire consisting of demographic data and five-point Likert-type. This form consists of questions to measure the awareness of the geometric shapes in a selected artwork and the level of knowledge about these geometric concepts. With this survey, the geometric literacy of the students has been measured. The data obtained from surveys were calculated by SSPS which is means of the statistics programme. In this task, the descriptive statistics were obtained In addition to this, using Mann- Whitney U test the results of appropriate statistical analysis were evaluated. In this evaluation; two and three-dimensional geometric structures of enough information to be able to distinguish between levels showed no difference between the first grade students and second grade students.
