Bir Toplumsal Dayanışma Kurumu Olarak Ahîliğin İş Ahlâkına Dair İlkeleri ve Ekonomik Hayata Katkıları

Ahîlik, Osmanlı Devleti’ne birçok alanda katkı sağlamış ve yüzyıllar boyunca başarıyla sürdürülmüş bir sistemdir. Tamamen Kur’ân-ı Kerîm’e, Hz. Peygamber’in sünnetine dayanan ve İslâmî esasların temel alındığı bu sistemi, sadece bir esnaf teşkilâtı olarak değerlendirmek mümkün değildir. Zira Ahîlik, on üçüncü yüzyıldan yirminci yüzyıla kadar Anadolu’da sosyal hayatın düzenlenmesinde büyük rol oynadığı kadar; siyâsî, ahlâkî, askerî, kültürel ve özellikle ekonomik alanda büyük katkılar sağlamıştır. On üçüncü yüzyılın ortalarından başlayarak, gençleri kötü akımların etkisinden ve aylak kalmaktan kurtarmak Ahîliğin Türk toplumunu sosyo-ekonomik bakımdan düzenlemedeki etkilerinden yalnızca birkaçıdır. Ahîlikteşkilâtı, şehir halklarının çoğunluğunu meydana getiren esnaf ve zanaatkârlar arasındaki dayanışma ve yardımlaşma temelleri üzerine kurulmuştur. Dinî inanç ve değerler de bu duygularla birleştiğinden bu teşkilât, toplumun çeşitli kesimleri içerisinde kin ve düşmanlık olmasına engel olmuş, böylece kardeşlik ve yardımlaşma duygusunun gelişmesine de katkıda bulunmuştur. Bu makalede devlet kaynaklarını en makul biçimde harekete geçiren, adil bir gelir dağılımı sağlayan, topluma sosyal dayanışma, barış, kardeşlik duygusu aşılayan, dengeli ve verimli bir iktisâdî-sosyal sistem olan Ahîlik sistemini ve toplumsal bütünlüğe ekonomik olarak ne gibi katkılar sağladığı ele alınacaktır.

Ahi Instution is a system that has contributed to many fields in the period of Ottoman Empire and has been successfully maintained for centuries. It is not possible to evaluate this system, which is based on Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet namely Islamic principles, only as an organization of esnaf (tradesmen). Because Ahi Instution played a significant role in the social life in Anatolia from the 13th century to the 20th century, as well as, it made many contribution on political, moral, military, cultural, and especially economic areas. Preserving young people from the effects of unpleasant habits and idleness are just a few of the influences of Ahi Instution on socio-economic situation in Turkish society since the middle of the 13th century. Ahi Instution is based on solidarity and cooperation among tradesmen and artisans, who compromise the majority of the society. This organization has prevented hatred and hostility among various sections of the society, since religious beliefs and values have also been combined with these feelings, thus contributing to the development of brotherhood and emancipation. This article will focus on the Ahi Instution system, which evokes state sources in the most reasonable way, provides a fair distribution of income, inject solidarity, peace and brotherhood feelings into the society, is a balanced and productive economic-social system. Also, contributions of the Ahi Instution system to the social cohesion in terms of economic aspects will be investigated.
