Analysis of the Thesis on “Accounting Mistakes and Frauds” Registered in the Council of Higher Education Thesis Center
Çalışmanın amacı, Yükseköğretim Ulusal Tez Merkezi’nde kayıtlı ve tamamlanmış olan “muhasebe hata ve hileleri” ile ilgili yazılmış yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla, 5’i doktora ve 42’si yüksek lisans olmak üzere toplam 47 adet teze ulaşılmıştır. Bu tezlerin 7 tanesi Okan Üniversitesi’nde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bunun yanında, ulaşılan tezlerden yalnızca 35 tanesinin erişim izni bulunmaktadır. Erişim izni bulunan 35 tezin 19 tanesi ”anket yöntemi”, 5 tanesi “geçmiş verilerin incelenmesi”, 4 tanesi “literatür incelemesi”, 7 tanesi de “bir işletmede uygulama” gerçekleştirmiştir. Anket yöntemini kullanan çalışmalara bakıldığında ise; 4 çalışma bağımsız denetçilere, 11 çalışma muhasebe meslek mensuplarına, 3 çalışma işletme yöneticilerine ve 1 çalışma ise işletme çalışanlarına uygulanmıştır. Bununla birlikte, 19 çalışmanın 10 tanesi “frekans analizi” kullanmak suretiyle sonuçlara ulaşmıştır.

The purpose of the study, which was completed and registered at the Higher National Thesis Center of master's and doctoral theses written about "accounting errors and frauds" is to examine. For this purpose, 5 of doctorate and 42 of master, a total of 47 theses were reached. Seven of these theses were completed at Okan University. In addition, only 35 of the theses have access. Of the 35 theses that were granted access, 19 of them applied “survey method”, 5 of them examined “the historical data”, 4 of them made “literature review” and 7 of them performed “application in one enterprise”. Looking at the theses using the survey method; 4 theses was applied to independent auditors, 11 theses to accounting professionals, 3 theses to business executives and 1 these was applied to the employees. However, 10 of the 19 theses reached the results using "frequency analysis".
